Nice to meet you
My name is Mico Yamamoto, a landscape painter and storyteller from Osaka. I paint Japan’s beauty and guide travelers through places most people never find.

Where It All Started
I never planned to become a tour guide or a painter. I was simply someone who paid attention to small moments, how light settles on an old shrine wall or how a bowl of ramen can carry an entire day. Over time, painting became how I remembered those moments, and guiding became how I shared them. What began as curiosity grew into a quiet commitment to helping others notice the beauty often overlooked.

Seeing, Then Sharing
Painting taught me how to see, and guiding taught me how to share. With every tour, I realized I was not just showing people around, but helping them experience Japan in a way that stayed with them. Over time, it stopped feeling like a job and became a more personal way of telling stories through real moments, shared naturally as they unfolded.
What Stays With You
The most meaningful moments on my tours are never planned. I have seen guests quietly moved inside a shrine, or pause and say they finally understand Japan. Those are the moments I guide for, not just the places we visit, but the experience people carry with them afterward.
